Craft foam tute 1

A quick craftfoam tutorial.  This is how I've made the tail guard for the Miqo'te's version of the Forestrikers armour from Final Fantasy XIV ARR armour.

each peace is about 4 layers of craft foam which has been primed and glued together with PVA glue.  a base coat of black paint was then added before a thin layer of silver paint.  at this point the armour already looked slightly weathered because black was still visible through the silver.  I then used the same black I used for the base to weather the peace’s via dry brushing.  On the edges of each peace you may notice a silvery sheen.  this is because I used a metallic pearl white paint on all edges.  it’s pretty cool in that it doesn’t show up unless it’s catching the light so it creates nice highlights   (paints seen in photo’s)
